Guango Go Privacy Policy

Guango Go ("we", "us") is a point-of-sale, marketplace and supply app for small businesses in Jamaica. This page explains what information the app uses and why. Questions? Email support@guangogo.com.
Information we collect
- Account details: your name, email address, phone number and password (stored securely, never in plain text).
- Business information: business name, parish and address, products, prices, stock, sales and order records, team members you add.
- Marketplace activity: listings, photos you upload, offers, orders, delivery addresses, reviews and messages between buyers and sellers.
- Plant Care: plants you add, notes, checks, and photos you choose to take for plant identification or problem checks.
- Device information: a notification token so we can send you alerts, and basic technical logs needed to keep the service running.
- Approximate location: your parish or the delivery area you enter. We do not track your location in the background.
How we use it
- To run your account, process orders, show listings and let buyers and sellers contact each other.
- To send notifications such as order updates, offers and plant-check reminders.
- To provide the AI assistant and photo features, and to keep the service safe and working.
AI features
When you use the Guango AI assistant, or take a photo for plant identification or a problem check, the text or photo you send is processed by an AI service provider to produce a reply. Plant photo results are suggestions only and are not a diagnosis. Photos are re-saved without embedded location data. Do not send photos or messages you do not want processed this way.
Who can see your information
- Buyers and sellers see what is needed to complete an order (for example your name, phone number and delivery address).
- Your public listings and business profile are visible to other users.
- Service providers that help us run the app (hosting, notifications, email, weather forecasts by parish, and AI processing) receive only what they need to do that job.
- We do not sell your personal information.
- We may share information if the law requires it.
Security
Data is sent over encrypted connections. Plant photos are stored privately and are only available to the business that took them. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong password.
Your choices and deleting your account
You can edit your profile and listings in the app. To delete your account and the data tied to it, open the app and go to Settings → My Profile → Delete My Account. You can also email support@guangogo.com from the address on your account and ask us to delete it. Some records, such as completed orders, may be kept where needed for fraud prevention, accounting or legal reasons.
Children
Guango Go is for adults running or shopping at a business. It is not directed at children under 13.
